Things to do when you have nothing to do
We all have moments when time feels slow and boredom takes over. We keep scrolling our phone to fill the void. Instead of feeling restless, these moments can actually be a chance to slow down and reconnect with yourself.
Here are simple, and calming things you can do when you have nothing to do.
1. Organise your space
Not your whole room at once, you can start with your desk or the side table. Clean one by one. Put on some music to vibe on while cleaning, this makes it fun.
Even arranging the items can make your surrounding calmer and that calm energy slowly transfers to your mind.
2. Romanticise your work
Even the most normals days can feel much better if you put some efforts and treat it gently.
Make a good coffee for yourself, pour into a nice glass and enjoy it while looking out the window or scrolling through Pinterest. Sit in sunlight for 5 minutes. Stretch your body and start doing your work. Don't procrastinate.
3. Write random thoughts in your notes app or diary
Stop waiting for the right moment to start writing in that diary, the right moment will never come if you don't start.
Start by writing how you feel at the moment. Write what's been in your mind lately, things you're excited about, things you're scared of and things that you don't say out loud.
4. Start implementing things
Sit down and learn about the things you've always wanted to learn but never did because you were too confused as you didn't know where to start. You have everything available now on YouTube, you can literally learn anything, anytime. You don't need to spend money on courses anymore.

5. Clean your Phone
Delete all the unwanted photos from your phone, delete the useless files and documents that you don't need anymore. They take away your phone's space.
6. Make a vision board
Create a vision board for the coming year, think about how you want your year to be. Use Pinterest for this, also remember to keep the board a secret. Start working on yourself and don't compare yourself with other people.
Focus Is Important
7. Learn how to sit idle properly
You don't always need to work, sometimes sit alone outside and process your thoughts alone. Self awareness is very attractive. Keep thinking and thinking about what you want.
Remember, thinking about something is always the first step to actually achieve it. You don't always need to stress your mind and overthink. Sometimes you need to sit alone with your thoughts to feel alive again.
Having nothing to do doesn't mean you're wasting your time. Sometimes it means your mind is asking for softness and space. You don't need to fix it by overworking yourself.
-Save this for later when the boredom hits again and you need a reminder that you're not wasting your life.
